Jody Goetzman

Director & Lead Teacher

Faith Lutheran Preschool has been under the direction of Jody for the past 16 years. Prior to that she served as the Preschool Board President for 3 years before joining the staff as a lead teacher and assistant for 6 years. Jody is a graduate of MVNU and has her Child Development Associate in Early Childhood. She is the mother of 5 adult children and Grammy to two beautiful granddaughters. Four of her children attended Faith Lutheran to start their educational journey. Jody and her husband; Rick of 33 years are longtime Mount Vernon residents. Jody is an active member of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon.  And, serves her community as President of both the Knox County Career Center Board of Education and the Mount Vernon City School Board of Education. In her spare time she enjoys camping, gardening, and a quiet walk in the woods.

 

Karina McDonald

Lead Teacher - 3 yr old Classes

She has worked at FLCP as both a lead teacher and assistant since 2007.  She holds an associate degree in Early Childhood.  Karina has taught in all of our classes at some point during her time at FLCP.  Her oldest son attended FLCP for three years and her youngest is currently a student.   If not at FLCP Karina can be found working their farm along side her husband Chad and two sons.  She attends Victory Church of Christ.

Natalie Cooperider

Assistant

Natalie has worked at FLCP as an assistant since 2017. Natalie served as president of the board while her daughter attended our program for 2 years.  When a need arose for an assistant in one of our classes, she joined our staff.  She resides in Mount Vernon with her husband Mike and daughter.  They own and operate their own business and are active in the local community.

Tessa Hall

Lead Teacher

Tessa joined our staff in the Fall of 2025.  Tessa is a huge asset to our program teaching the MWF PreK Class. She graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Tessa and her husband have three children attending Mount Vernon City Schools.

Ashley Schall

Lead Teacher

This is Ashley’s first year teaching at Faith Lutheran. Her oldest son attended Faith Lutheran and her youngest son is currently a student. She resides in MV with her husband and is active in the Columbia School PTO in her spare time.

Jasmine Amyx

Assistant

We are excited to welcome back Jasmine. She started with us Fall of 2023 and will once again be an Assistant in the Bright Beginners, 3 yr old Class. All 3 of her girls have attended Faith Lutheran Preschool. We are excited to have Jasmine on staff and love the many ideas she brings to our program. She loves spending time outside with her 3 daughters. She and her husband Nathan reside in Saint Louisville.

Rhylee Amyx

Assistant

This is Rhylee’s first year at Faith Lutheran. We are happy to have her in our Bright Beginners and PreK Classes. When not at preschool, Rhylee loves to craft banners and paint. She and her husband along with their two boys reside in St. Louisville.

Jalynn Green

Assistant

Jalynn is a Graduate of MVHS and KCCC where she graduated from the Early Childhood Program. Jalynn works in the morning at Greens Automotive and lives in Mount Vernon with her son Vinnie.
